Don Daniel Vineyard

May 8, 1930 — September 8, 2017

Don Daniel Vineyard, age 87, of Red Boiling Springs, formerly of Texas, passed away on Friday, September 8th, at his residence. Services and burial for Mr. Vineyard will take place in Texas at a later date.  There are no planned services at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette. He was born on May 8, 1930 in Palestine, Texas, the son of the late Clinton and Martha (Thomas) Vineyard.  He was married on November 23, 1950 to the former Mickey Welborn, who survives.  He served his country in the United States Air Force during Korean Conflict in Okinawa.  He worked for several years as a truck driver and sometime in the 1980’s, he became self-employed as a repairman of  HVAC heating and air conditioning units.  He was a member of the North Highland United Methodist Church where he played the piano and did volunteer maintenance work.  He seemed to be a “jack of all trades”.  He was a self-taught “play by ear” piano player, as well as any other instrument he seemed to pick up.  In addition to his wife of 66 years, he is survived by, daughters, Donna Delois Vineyard, both of Red Boiling Springs, Karen Kay and husband, Robert of Gallatin, 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements by ANDERSON & SON FUNERAL HOME DIRECTORS, Lafayette, TN. 615-666-4011.     www.andersonandsonfuneralhomes.com
