Dorothy Evelyn Collins

Dorothy Collins, age 87, of Lafayette, passed away Monday afternoon, January 16, 2017 at the Macon County General Hospital ER.  Funeral services for Dorothy Collins will be conducted on Friday, January 20th at 1:00 p.m. from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette with Brother Kenneth Phillips officiating.  Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.          

Visitation with the family will begin Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time. 

The family requests that memorials be made to Shrum Cemetery.  You may make these memorials by calling or coming by the funeral home.

She is survived by: Daughters and Sons-in-law:  Melissa and W.L. Bryant of Gallatin, Teresa and Dennis Lumpkin of Salado, TX, Son and Daughter-in-law:  Kenny “Bozie” and Julie Collins of Lafayette, Grandchildren:  Christie (Zach) Hurst of Dexter, NY, Misty (Matt) Burch of Gallatin, TN, John Reece Collins, Sarah (Kyle) Polston, all of Lafayette, Great-Grandchildren:  Zachary (Lindsey) McWhirter of Bryan, TX, Austin Groth of Dexter, NY, Allee Burch, Whitney Burch, both of Gallatin, Lylian Jean Polston of Lafayette, Great-Great-Granddaughter:  Adalynn McWhirter of Bryan, TX, Special Friends:  Marie Austin, Nancy Deering, Betty Burgett, and Eva Mae Wix, all of Lafayette.
