Floyd Lee Anderson, age 78, of the Rocky Mound Community of Macon County passed away Thursday morning, October 13, 2016 at Westmoreland Care & Rehab in Westmoreland, TN. Funeral services for Floyd Lee Anderson will be conducted Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elder Tony Allen officiating. Interment followed in the Rocky Mound Cemetery.
Floyd was born July 3, 1938 in Smith County, Tennessee, one of six children born to the late Lee Draper and Edith Mai (Sutton) Anderson. He was married to Lavenia Ann Cliburn on February 10, 1962, who preceded him in death October 30, 2015. In addition to his parents and wife his sister, Vicky Marie Anderson preceded him in death. He served in the Army, owner of Anderson’s Market, farmer and was a member of Haysville Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include, his children, Ravia Lynn (Joe) Young of Adolphus, KY, Sonja Kay (Keith) Whittemore of Westmoreland, grandchildren, Kaycie Whittemore, Junior Young, Jacob Whittemore, Sandy Young & Katie Young, brothers, Jerry Anderson of Ridge Top & Ray Anderson of Ashland City & sisters, Frances Ballentine & Charlotte Hentz both of Hendersonville.
