Irene Shrum, age 85, of the Old Bottom Community of Macon County, passed away on Friday, April 21st at Trousdale Medical Center in Hartsville. Funeral services for Irene Shrum will be conducted on Sunday, April 23rd at 2:00 p.m. from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette with Elder Dewayne Gregory officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park in Lafayette.
Visitation with the family will begin on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and resume on Sunday from 10 a.m. to the service time.
She is survived by brother, John Shrum of Lafayette, brother-in-law, Leon Fuqua of Lafayette, Special Friend, Gus Taylor Fisher of the Long Creek Community and several nieces and nephews
The family suggests memorials to the Old Beech Bottom Missionary Baptist Church or charity of choice. These memorials may be made by coming by the funeral home.
