Joe Cherry

Joe Cherry, age 79 of the Pine Hill Community in Clay County, TN passed away Friday afternoon, February 28, 2025 at his daughter’s residence. Joe is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN.

Funeral Services for Joe Cherry will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, March 4, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Jack Honeycutt officiating. Interment will follow in the Kendall Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Sunday from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m., Monday 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Tuesday 9 a.m. until his service at 2 p.m.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Neva Collins Cherry; parents, Estes "Lartin" & Estelle Johnson Cherry; brothers, Jerry Cherry, Dennie "Doughbelly" Cherry; sister, Glenda Cherry; great-grandson, Benton Andrew Carnahan.

He is survived by: daughters, Charlotte Halliburton of Red Boiling Springs, Laura Tidwell of the Hermitage Springs Community, Jolena Birdwell of Moss; grandchildren, Andrew Lewis, Natalie White & husband, Stetson, Eliza Reagan & husband, Colton, Joseph Birdwell, Sadie Birdwell, Kendall Thompson, Dalton Thompson, and Riley Thompson; great-grandchildren, Neyland McKinney, Paizley White, John White, Addie Lewis; sisters, Willodean Hestand, Jill Thompson both of the Union Hill Community, Brenda Carpenter & husband, Frankie, Debbie Crawford all of Moss, Wanda Maxey of Red Boiling Springs; brother, Denzil Cherry of Red Boiling Springs; host of nieces & nephews.
