John Lewis Fitzwater, Sr.

John Lewis Fitzwater, Sr.  age 97, of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday evening, January 8, 2017 at Riverview Medical Center in Carthage, TN.  Funeral services for John Fitzwater will be conducted on Saturday, January 14th at 12:00 p.m. from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette with Mark Templeton officiating.  Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park with Military Honors.          

Visitation with the family will be prior to the funeral service on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.

There will be an informal gathering to visit with the family Friday afternoon January 13th, from 5 to 8 pm at the Lafayette United Methodist Church. 

The family requests that donations may be made to the Lafayette United Methodist Church Building Fund.  These may be made by calling or coming by the funeral home.

He is survived by: Son:  John L. Fitzwater, Jr. of Hernando, FL, Son and daughter-in-law:  James L. and Charlene Fitzwater of Exton, PA, Daughters and Sons-in-law:  Sheila and Robert Heffron of Herndon, VA, Erica and Michael Jackson of Lafayette, TN, Grandchildren:  Jennifer (Paul) Fitzwater Tomasetti, Ryan Fitzwater, Craig (Danielle) Heffron, Leslie Heffron, Great-grandchildren:  Erin Smoczynski-Jackson, Ellison Jackson, Kallie Jackson, Kaitlyn Jackson, Paige Heffron, Savannah Heffron, Charlotte Tomasetti, Great-great granddaughter:  Nyla Ann Jackson Brooks.
